Dim lights
On the horizon
Birds haven’t woken up
Sound asleep
Rain outside
Pouring down like water
Frosted eyes
Sticking to the lids
And nowhere near expulsion
“We were all,
we were blown away”
First, hazy shade
Second, numerous drops
The roof was covered
In rhythm of tears
Falling from
The sky above
Down near the trees
The grass and the sea
but somewhere near perfection
“So they were all,
all nearly blown away”

Litte boy David Haley (14.11.2004)
Holding the scissors
in my hands
I walked towards her
golden hair.
Brother said “Do so”
in the dark
while he was asleep
and she in deep slumber.
Stepping towards her
did I intend
to seize her throat
and scar it?
I am not mean -
there is only love,
only love that has no
place in my life.
Please, mummy do not
wake up this
instant, your scream
would wake him, too.
But she does
and my blades
slash a wound
into her flesh.
Are you still loved
and I still ignored?
in my hands
I walked towards her
golden hair.
Brother said “Do so”
in the dark
while he was asleep
and she in deep slumber.
Stepping towards her
did I intend
to seize her throat
and scar it?
I am not mean -
there is only love,
only love that has no
place in my life.
Please, mummy do not
wake up this
instant, your scream
would wake him, too.
But she does
and my blades
slash a wound
into her flesh.
Are you still loved
and I still ignored?
