Fill Your Lives

You hang on to dear life
While you’re wasting, the hours pass by,
The cougar sleeping peacefully in your bedroom
While you’re waiting for lost time

to return, and yet you count the minutes,
Make them disappear. Hide away in your universe
and your favourite music, wait for the song to fade
while you’re killing spiders hiding in forgotten corners

And everything stops racing
while you’re trying to catch that second,
that little piece of peace that patches you together.
Still, you’re waiting for the implosion.

You hang on to every word they sing,
all the words they express, they supress, the success
in a language you don’t speak with a religion you don’t need
While you’re repeating your eternal internal laws

And yet you’ve never had the impression
that you could change your life, turn those minutes into
something priceless, something without a the edge of a knife.
So contemplate the ending and return to...
